On 2.0.26 this feature now works on my Pixel 7 running Android 17 and my tablet running Android 16 👍🏻
2.0.25.1 does appear to have broken the change of location again on my pixel 7. Now when l select a new location I get the orange line running across the top of the screen endlessly. It works on my android tablet running android 16
2.0.25 is live now with another attempted fix. Can you please verify whether it has made any difference? Also, if not, can you please clearly describe again the latest misbehaviour – what exactly happens when you tap on a saved location? Are you taken back to the main app UI with your current location still showing? Is there no feedback to indicate that it is at least trying to get the weather for another location?
I thought the issue was resolved when 2.0.25 was released. as I could search and see the weather for a few other locations. I could also see the last searches. I'm using 2.0.25.1 now. I search and select the new location, e.g. Dublin or Portimão and I can see the orange line move but no data is shown for the new location. Just trying to load data. Also, the locations I had searched and opened 2 days ago are no longer visible. I have to search again and then all I see is that orange line but no new weather data. Just FYI. I have AdGuard VPN running in the background but I configured it that Appy Weather bypasses it. It doesn't change either when I completely disable AdGuard.
Thanks for the update. I'll try again in this week's update. This is not getting fixed as quickly as either of us would like mainly because I can't actually reproduce it. But I'll figure it out, definitely getting closer. Sorry again and always for the inconvenience in the meantime.
Another question I have: do (new) saved locations suffer from the same issue, as when you tap on a search result location?
Yes, earlier I couldn't even save a searched location and no other weather data would come up. After an app restart, I can at least see my saved locations but clicking on them only brings the neverending orange line. And now I can still find but not load data for any new location either.
Really sorry to all of you. I thought I had fixed it, because I spent some time looking into this and had made changes. This thread completely missed me. I’m looking into this again tonight, with a hot-fix out as soon as I hopefully land a once-and-for-all fix. Big apology again, hope you’re all still around for the fix.
Also to be clear, I have never been able to actually reproduce this which doesn't help. But let me try again...
I'm using the latest version 2.0.24 and I cannot see any other location either. I can search and tap on the found location, but nothing else happens. This is a major blocker for me as I need to be able to see weather in a few different locations. Please advise if I'm doing anything wrong or when a fix is available. Thanks.
I am having the same problem. I cannot select any locations and am only seeing the weather were I am currently.

2.0.26 has a set of changes that I hope finally settle this. I'm feeling slightly more confident than in previous updates because I was occasionally getting the original issue to reproduce, and by the end I once again was unable to after the fix was inserted. Please let me know whether it's made a difference, either way!
